Ashleigh Griffin, a 2008 UNESCO/L’Oreal Fellow For Women In Science and Professor of Evolutionary Biology at University of Oxford met artist Miranda Creswell in 2010.
They began a collaboration which has resulted in the making of six short films about Woman Scientists of all ages. Their films investigate how curiosity about everyday subjects can lead to scientific careers. The subjects are at different stages of life as scientists but share the same passion and ingenuity. Through the subjects, the films show that exclusion of people from science because of gender, race or class is ultimately a suppression of human nature at great cost to us all.
